ABOUT COMMON SAINTS
Common Saints is a registerd 501-(c)(3) organization which exists to protect communities by restoring waterways, reducing flood risk, and strengthening the resilience of wetlands across North Carolina and beyond. We believe that while we cannot control the storms that come our way, we can control how we prepare, how we respond, and how we steward the land we’ve been entrusted with.
Through debris removal, streambank stabilization, watershed restoration, and disaster-prevention initiatives, Our organization is fully committed to doing the unseen but essential work that keeps neighborhoods safe.
With over a decade of service in high-risk tree and debris removal, an arsenal of top-of-the-line heavy machinery, and on-call crews spanning the length and breadth of the state, Common Saints proudly serves as one of the most efficient and quick-deploying woody debris removal services in the state of North Carolina.

MEET OUR PRESIDENT — STEVEN HALL
Steven Hall’s story begins in Hood Swamp, North Carolina, a close-knit rural community shaped by hard work, faith, and a deep respect for the land. When Steven was a young boy, a powerful hurricane swept through Hood Swamp — ripping the roof off his family’s home, flooding the community, and leaving devastation in its wake.
But what stands out most from that moment wasn’t the destruction — it was the response. Steven and his family joined their neighbors to help rescue others, wading through rising waters and doing whatever they could to serve those around them.
That experience stirred something permanent in Steven.
“Since that day, I’ve been devoted to protecting my community from ever experiencing something like that again. We can’t control the storms, but we can control how prepared we are and how well we steward what we’ve been given.”
— Steven Hall
Under his direction, the organization is rapidly becoming a leader in waterway restoration and community protection across the region.
OUR VISION
We envision a future where:
-
Local wdaterways are clean, stable, and flowing safely.
-
Flooding no longer devastates wetland-adjacent neighborhoods.
-
Every county in NC has direct access to immediate emergency debris removal.
-
Stewardship becomes a shared responsibility of landowners, municipalities, and private enterprise.
Through partnerships, volunteers, science-based restoration, and a heart for service, Common Saints is building safer communities — one waterway at a time.
